Well I learned so much this week and want to share some of the (learnings) with you today, I will do my best to share it all in the next couple of days.

Let’s start with the story of Jonah as three days ago God led me to Jonah passage 1 & 2.

Jonah was running from God’s assignment. God wanted Jonah to minister to people that were worshipping false gods and turn them back to the one real God. But Jonah ran away from God’s assignment and escaped by going away in a boat. It did not take very long for the waves to act out God’s anger towards Jonah. The other people on the ship asked Jonah what he had done to cause this to fall upon them. Jonah confessed and said I’m running from God throw me of the ship so that you will be save. However the people were afraid what God would do to them for throwing Jonah of the ship so they did not trow him of. The waves became stronger and so the people trew Jonah of the ship and immediately the waives calmed down. Then a big fish came and swallowed Jonah up. Jonah prayed for 3 days for God to free him and on the 3rd day God freed Jonah because now Jonah was ready to fulfill God’s assignment. You can read this in Jonah chapter 1 and 2. In chapter 2 you can read Jonah’s prayer to God, so inspiring.

So – How often do we run away from what God tells us to do? We then wonder why things are not going good in our lives and we carry on. God has given each of us a purpose to carry out to advance his kingdom. Our assignment is super important to the Kingdom. But you think: I CANT BECAUSE IM NOT WORTHY AND IM NO GOOD – RIGHT???

OR AM I THE ONLY PERSON IN THIS??? Come on family be with me 😊

OKAY – For the ones that are with me in this, let’s go to 2 Chronicles chapter 30. ( God let me to this two days in a row the past two days)  It talks about king Hezekiah who wanted all the people that were no longer serving God but worshipping false gods to turn back to the one true God. When Hezekiah send the invitations The people trew out every item they had used to worship falls gods. He invited all the people to a Passover feast of one week to have the people find God again. The remarkable thing about this is that he says in 2 Chronicles 30:

18 Although most of the many people who came from Ephraim, Manasseh, Issachar and Zebulun had not purified themselves, yet they ate the Passover, contrary to what was written. But Hezekiah prayed for them, saying, “May the Lord, who is good, pardon everyone 19 who sets their heart on seeking God—the Lord, the God of their ancestors—even if they are not clean according to the rules of the sanctuary.” 20 And the Lord heard Hezekiah and healed the people.

The people were not clean to celebrate the Passover however the King prayed to God for them and asked God to look at the people’s heart instead of them not having prepared for the feast – AND God accepted them and healed them. AND TO TOP IT OFF – the people were so happy with finding God again that they extended the feast with another week. Ooh when you find God, you find everything you need. Praise the Lord Almighty.

Please, please, please know THAT: Jesus did not come to this world for people that have it all together.  NO he came to this earth for the people that need help, the sinners, the broken hearted and the LOST. He came for people that need grace and forgiveness. Someone who has never done anything wrong does not need grace or foregiveness, it’s the ones that fail and fail again that need grace. God looks at a persons heart not at a persons sin pattern.

So there is no such thing as I’m not good enough because outside of Jesus nobody is good and nobody can do a good deed outside of Jesus. Ultimately it all stems from some kind of selfishness, only God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit can do good deeds and are good. And God knows this, there are no works we could ever perform that would get us into heaven, no only God’s grace through Jesus Christ can get us saved.

Only when we believe that Jesus died for our sins and was rissen back up after 3 days can we be saved, only if we accept Jesus as our Lord and savior.

So to come back, when God assigns you to fulfill a purpose he has already approved and equipped you through his son Jesus Christ to fulfill that purpose and he needs you to fulfill it. Running from it won’t give you any blessing only obeying God will and if we love God who first loved us than we can’t run from him for very long. Blessing or not,  living without God is not worth life – to get to live this life with God is the greatest blessing of them all.

I used to run from God so I know what it is to run from him and with that experience I’m asking you to Stop running from God. I never wanted to share my private struggles with the world, quite the contrary I was a very private person when it came to my life. If I would of continued to run from God, I would of never started this blog. God has used this blog to help and inspire people. You see it’s not about us, it’s about how God can use us for his glory and to advance his kingdom. So many people need to hear our stories to know that God does not have them alone dealing with the struggles of life, no we are here to help each other.

God loves you more than you can ever think or believe and nothing can ever stop that. God cares so much about us that he knows every hair we have on our head. There is nothing that involves our lives that God finds non important. No God loves us so much that he gave his only son for our salvation. We don’t have to be good, we only have to love God and he will take it from there. And:

Romans 8: 38 says: For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

That includes ourselves, God will never leave us or forsake us. So get to work on your assignment or get on your knees to find out what your assignment is. You will see there is nothing greater than serving God, it’s a privalage.

God loves you much❤️
