Today was an interesting day. I was  thinking all day what to write today and then reminded myself that God would be faithful to give me the topic to write about.

Today I had a conversation with a friend and after a while of talking about all the negative stuff – I surprised myself. I said well – God said in the bible that we should pray for our enemies. What good do we do if we are nice to people that are nice to us, everybody can be nice to people that are nice. We should not go down to the level of the people that are mean to us but rise above it because we have God. We should make sure we stand right with God in our actions towards people. As much as I was talking to my friend, I was talking to myself. Reminding myself of how many times I failed in this area.

Often times I don’t need words to show somebody how I feel. My body language says enough. Like yesterday somebody was giving a lecture ( not one of my favorite people, I know still working on this area 🙈)  on things I already know and implemented. Well I’m sure my body language spoke stories on how un- interested I was. The funny thing ( not so funny) is that while I was reacting in this way it was like if God spoke to me about my body language. Reminding me several times that my body language was not right, however I struggled to change it. Needles to say I failed the test and I was well aware of it 😞

Doing the right thing is not always easy. I do know that I want to do the right thing, however I need God’s help. Especially when somebody is mean, I can become extremely careless about the person. Think about the times when somebody was mean to you: how did you react? What did you feel? What about when you get angry, how easy is it to stay in peace and act calm and in control? Do you want to be nice in this senario? Be honest! I’m sure that many can agree that in your own effort probably not.

This is not how God wants us to live with each other, the struggle is real but the effort so worth it. Imaging when you reach by God and you hear Almighty God say; well done you good and faithful servant. Well I’m sure that will make me cry and want to hug God and say thank you father for believing in me and never giving up on me – all the praise goes to you God. Because I know that without him I’m nothing and will never be any good. Thank you God.

1 Luke 6:27-32 “But I say to you who are listening, love your enemies. Do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who are cruel to you. If anyone slaps you on one cheek, offer him the other cheek, too. If someone takes your coat, do not stop him from taking your shirt. Give to everyone who asks you, and when someone takes something that is yours, don’t ask for it back. Do to others what you would want them to do to you . If you love only the people who love you, what praise should you get? Even sinners love the people who love them.

2. Matthew 5:41-48 And if one of the occupation troops forces you to carry his pack one mile, carry it two miles. When someone asks you for something, give it to him; when someone wants to borrow something, lend it to him. “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your friends, hate your enemies.’ But now I tell you: love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may become the children of your Father in heaven. For he makes his sun to shine on bad and good people alike, and gives rain to those who do good and to those who do evil. Why should God reward you if you love only the people who love you? Even the tax collectors do that! And if you speak only to your friends, have you done anything out of the ordinary? Even the pagans do that! You must be perfect—just as your Father in heaven is perfect.

Let’s think about this the next time somebody is mean to us.

Have a blessed evening.

God loves you much❤️
