Question – What is your fear?

How funny is it that we know that God is all powerful, yet we still deal with fears?

Nothing excists outside of God and he is in control of everything, however as soon as we are taken out of our comfort zone we want to panic.

We rather deal with what we know than to deal with the unknown. Question is: how can we grow if we simply stay in habit?

Then I wonder : Was Moses afraid leading God’s people out of Egypt?

In the bible we can read that He was afraid of speaking in front of the Pharaoh. A seemingly small task compared to leading an entire city out of captivity in a dessert,  don’t you think?

How did Moses get to doing such a big assignment for God? He started By being honest to God about his fears and by taking it one step at the time.

Moses was afraid to speak and he communicated this to God. God cared for him and sent him assistance in order for Moses to be successful completing God’s assignment. When Moses witnessed God being there every step of the way, his faith must of strengthened.

Moses stepped out of his comfort zone in faith and stepped into God Comfort zone. God used every uncertain step Moses took to strenghen him for his next assignment. God was there holding his hand, leading him, guiding him, protecting him and listening to his doubts.

Because of Moses obedience to God he was used to part the Red Sea in two,  to bring God’s people to safety. How awesome that must of been?

What are you missing out on because of your fear? What has God asked you to do for him?

This blog is a great encouragement to myself as well, as I was afraid to start a blog for God. Stepping out of my own comfort zone. I too asked God, why me Lord? I’m not worthy who would want to read my blog?

We are created by God for his purpose. How can we ever feel accomplished of doing anything worthy during our lifetime, If we refuse to live out the purpose he created us for – out of fear.2 Timothy 1:7New King James Version (NKJV) – 7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Exodus 4:10-11New International Version (NIV) – 10 Moses said to the Lord, “Pardon your servant, Lord. I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue.”
11 The Lord said to him, “Who gave human beings their mouths? Who makes them deaf or mute? Who gives them sight or makes them blind? Is it not I, the Lord?

God loves you much❤️

  1. You write very well. And you spread the encouragement of The Lord in an awesome way. For the past few weeks, I’ve studied and watched “paranormal” videos anytime I was bored. I think most of it is fake but I do think some of it can actually be attributed to dark forces. So for the past few weeks I’ve been terrified of “dark spirits”, anything supernatural that I cannot fight physically. Never actually seen anything supernatural, but I had a gnawing fear of it that made it hard to sleep at night. But then I read Isaiah 8:12-13 don’t call everything a conspiracy like they do and don’t live in dread of what frightens them. Make The Lord of heavens armies holy in your life. He is the one you should fear he is the one who can make you tremble” if there really r any dark forces out there, they are less than a bacterium compared to God, so if we trust him then we don’t have to worry. My faith isn’t very strong and I kinda go back and forth with what I believe(doubt) but no matter what I always try to trust in Christ. If you wanna know my reaction after I realized that I shouldn’t fear anything but God, you can read my blog post “the numinous”. Anyway sorry for kinda rambling like that lol u have a great blog and a gift for encouragement

    1. I would love to read your blog and I will. God has not given us the spirit of fear but of love and of a sound mind. We do however need to be careful with the things we feed our minds with, we should not open the door to certain things. However God is great and he is strong in our weakness, he said: trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding, acknowledge him and he will direct your path. Following God is a choice we make daily however we can only accomplish it with his help, our mind is willing but our flesh is weak. We need him every single minute and when we fail we should tell him immediately and ask him for help, he will never leave you or forsake you. Thank you for your nice comment, to God be the praise. May God bless you.

  2. I love your line: “Nothing exists outside of God and he is in control of everything, however as soon as we are taken out of our comfort zone we want to panic.” I had a few experiences of this in the last couple of days and I have to say that I find your words to be very helpful and comforting. Thanks for sharing. 🙂
    Kind regards – Robert.

    1. Thank you Robert for your nice comments. I’m happy that God can help you through my writing. The glory goes to God. You know the story of Peter is a great story. He noticed Jesus walking on the water, there was a huge storm but his focus was on Jesus. So he asked for permission to join Jesus. He got out of the boat but then somehow lost his focus on Jesus and noticed the storm – he started to sink immediately. Jesus was still right there and nothing had changed the only thing that had changed was peter’s focus. Keep your focus on Jesus – Robert and you will be more than fine. May God bless you.

      1. God bless you too. Yes, you’re quite right – focus is everything and that story is a beautiful illustration of that. I’m going to keep my heart with God now and for as long as I have the strength to continue. I love your faith. It’s such a valuable thing to have in times like these. 🙂
        Kind regards – Robert.

  3. Yeah your right.i am very inspired to your post. Fear will come upon us if we have little faith and doubt to God. But if we believe we will conquer fear and We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. Hope to see more post. i love it.
